68th Annual Meeting provided information and entertainment
Near-perfect weather brought out a crowd estimated at 6,000 for Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative’s 68th annual meeting of its members.


Students Representing Blue Ridge Electric Co-op Prepare to Visit Washington, D.C.
Each summer Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative sponsors two high school juniors (rising seniors) to attend a week in Washington, D.C. This educational trip is an all expense paid six day trip to join over a thousand students from all over the United States. This year's 2008 Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative Washington Youth Tour representatives prepare to visit Capitol Hill.

Membership Has Its Privileges
During the week of April 17, more than $600,000 will be mailed to people who were members and received service in 1984. This is the 26th consecutive year capital credits have been refunded to our members.

Blue Ridge Fest sets new records
Employee charitable event raises $145,000! This year, Blue Ridge Fest proved to be a record-setting event. While attendance reached a new peak and classic cars filled all available spaces, the most important milestone was that of total money raised.

Public Auction
Public Auction scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 10:00 a.m. Preview Friday, October 3, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The auction will be held at the equipment facility at Blue Ridge Electric Co-op located at 734 West Main Street in Pickens. Vehicles are listed here. Please take a moment to view items.

Blue Ridge Fest Raffle Winners Announced
Winners of the Blue Ridge Fest Raffle are Scotty Nicholson of Pickens who won the 2008 Harley Davidson Fatboy and Kristi King-Brock who won the 2008 Ford Mustang convertible. Congratulations Scotty and Kristi!
